This dip is fast and easy, perfect for everyone’s busy schedules, and I promise you that it will satisfy any guest at your Super Bowl party that likes spicy foods.
8 ounces of cream cheese
1 ½ cups of rotisserie chicken, shredded
½ to ¾ cup of hot sauce (Franks Red Hot brand of hot sauce)
¼ teaspoon of garlic powder
¼ teaspoon of salt
3 green onions, sliced
Celery sticks, carrots, sliced crusty baguette, or crackers for serving
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
As you put all the ingredients (cream cheese, chicken, hot sauce, salt and garlic powder and half of the chopped green onion) into an ovenproof dish,
let your imagination provide you with a premonition of the creamy, spicy, chicken-infused treat that awaits you!
Place the ovenproof dish in the pre-heated oven.
After 10 minutes, remove the dip from the oven; the first thing you will notice is the liquid heat from the hot sauce tickling your sense of smell.
All the ingredients have softened nicely, so just give them a stir until they are well combined.
Place back into the oven for another 10 minutes. During this final stage of baking, prepare celery and carrots, slices of baguette, or crackers to serve with the dip.
Remove the dip from the oven and place it in a serving dish. Serve with celery sticks, carrots and baguette or crackers. Do not delay more than a minute or two for the dip to cool, and taste the zesty goodness that saturates this wondrous appetizer.
This recipe will make about 2 cups of dip.
Total time: about 25 minute
