Maple Syrup Corn Muffins

This is one of those very easy and delightful recipes, which requires almost no effort. To enjoy these delish homemade muffins, just mix the dry and wet ingredients together and pop them in the oven for less than 20 minutes. They can be used to accompany dinner or you can enjoy them for breakfast as well.

Ingredients

1 cup of all-purpose flour
1 cup of yellow cornmeal
2 teaspoons of baking powder
½ teaspoon of baking soda
½ teaspoon of salt
1 cup of milk
½ cup of real maple syrup
1 large egg
½ cup of unsalted butter, melted

Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

Prepare muffin pan by greasing muffin wales, next fill them with muffin paper liners and grease inside of the liners.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, cornmeal, baking soda and baking powder.

In another bowl, whisk together milk, egg, and maple syrup. Combine dry and wet ingredients together, until batter forms.

Divide batter evenly into prepared muffin cups, and bake them for 15 to 18 minutes.

The muffins are ready when a toothpick inserted into the center comes out of clean. At this point, remove them from the oven.

As soon as they are cool enough to handle, remove muffins from the pan and cool them completely on a wire rack.
